Full Name (in English): Center for Social and Economic Development City: Jagodina (administrative centre of Pomoravlje district, Central Serbia) Country: Serbia CDER is an NGO headquartered in Jagodina, founded in the end of 2005 at the initiative of qualified experts in different areas, aspiring to act locally, regionally, nationally and internationally and to become positive and creative factors of social development within national and European framework. CDER operates across several districts (Pomoravlje, Braničevo, Šumadija, Jablanica, Nišava, Rasina, Toplica...) with special focus on Pomoravlje district. We have members in 8 municipalities. CDER beneficiaries are primarily legal entities (local self-governments, various public institutions, NGOs, development agencies...), as well as young people from several Serbian districts (young people through their organizations, students’ parliaments, and young people as individuals interested in social engagement...). Our expertise is strategic planning and building capacities of institutions and organizations. We are the only NGO in Serbia that has its own representative in the Work Group for Fiscal Decentralization in Social Protection Field. The management board and management of CDER include leading national consultants and experts in specific areas relevant for local communities. CDER members are leaders in their communities in different areas, recognized as agents of change – currently there are 24 of us. Depending of the type of activity, a great number of people participates in CDER work on a volunteer basis, often people who are not members of our organization but support our work. CDER currently has 4 professionals employed. CDER has a three-member management board lead by Ivan Mladenović and director, Darko Dimitrijević. |
