MAYnet was represented at the ALL DIGITAL Summit 2026, one of Europe’s leading events dedicated to digital competences, digital inclusion and the challenges of digital transformation. The Summit took place on 22–23 September 2026 in Belgrade, bringing together policymakers, educators, innovators, civil society representatives and digital leaders from across Europe.
Representing MAYnet, CDER took part in the conference and used this important European networking opportunity to introduce participants to the MEDIActive Youth Network, its objectives and its work in strengthening media literacy and active youth participation across Europe.
A particular focus was placed on the Youth Media Literacy Declaration, one of MAYnet’s key advocacy initiatives. Through exchanges with policymakers, educators and representatives of organisations working in the fields of digital skills, education and civil society, Romina presented the Declaration and its call for stronger recognition of youth media literacy as an essential competence for informed, responsible and active participation in contemporary society.
The theme of this year’s Summit, “Digital Wellbeing for a Competitive Europe,” provided a highly relevant setting for presenting MAYnet’s work. Discussions throughout the event addressed the growing impact of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies, as well as the importance of ethics, trust, digital skills, inclusion and responsible participation in the digital environment.
Participation in the ALL DIGITAL Summit provided MAYnet with an opportunity to increase the visibility of the network and the Youth Media Literacy Declaration at European level, establish new contacts and exchange ideas with organisations and professionals working on digital and media literacy across Europe.
MAYnet will continue to use European events and networks to advocate for media-literate, informed and empowered young people and to build new partnerships around the shared challenges of media literacy, digital citizenship and youth participation.
